What began as a simple idea to bring people together around great food, fine bourbon, premium cigars, and meaningful conversation has grown into Smokes & Oak, a one-of-a-kind evening dedicated to supporting families staying at Ronald McDonald House.

Inspired by the leadership and generosity of BAMCO McDonald’s, including the vision of Colleen VanBlarcom, and supported by fellow McDonald’s Owner/Operators, restaurant affiliates, local businesses, and community partners, the event reflects a shared commitment to caring for families with critically ill or injured children receiving medical care far from home.

Beyond this event, BAMCO McDonald’s and its team support families staying at Ronald McDonald House in Rochester throughout the year by hosting meals, activities, and special moments that help bring comfort, connection, and a sense of normalcy during difficult times.
